We’re not fond of acronyms, chat about coding or advice that requires a team of IT experts to implement. We know what you’re looking for as a small business, content creators or non-profit and speak your language.

To provide a range of options according to affordability

Solid security doesn’t have to cost thousands. We endeavour to provide advice on solutions to suit every budget, but we’ll be honest and ready to refer you on the rare occasion you need to invest the bigger bucks - should you have the resources.

What we can’t help with (yet):

We can assist you in developing a incident response strategy so you’re prepared should disaster strike.
However, there will be times when an incident’s impact is so great a specialist cybersecurity, PR or legal firm is required - potentially with expertise in digital forensics, crisis management or other areas we are currently not equipped for. We can point you in the right direction though, so please get in touch.
A brilliant strategy in cybersecurity is to hire an ethical hacker to put your defences to the test. The process unearths vulnerabilities you can then work into your strategy and mitigate appropriately.
This isn’t in our toolkit. However, we can assist with cybersecurity audits. A simpler process, requiring minimal investment that uncovers vulnerabilities and helps you prioritise your strategy.
We recommend ‘off the shelf’ defensive tools we think are robust, effective and suit the needs for small businesses, content creators and non-profits. We also provide training materials and assist with crafting watertight strategies, policies and processes that enhance business security.
We don’t, however, design and implement network solutions that require secure coding or suit the needs of medium- large businesses.

Hey, I’m Madeline - the founder of elodie

After I was lucky enough to enjoy a fulfilling and international career in the security sector, I built on my qualifications with Google, Cisco and UCL in effort to provide advice on cybersecurity to those who need it most.

elodie was created to empower small brands, content creators and non profits to flourish without fear, by providing accessible but robust cybersecurity advice that keeps them protected. With a BSc in Psychology and MSc in Security Studies, I’m especially obsessed with the interplay between cybercrime and human behaviour, but know my way around the odd technical tool too.

My goal for elodie is to provide clear and relevant security advice with minimal to zero acronyms, technical terms and yawn inducing white papers. Most importantly I hope to build a warm and welcoming space on the internet that provides support that is time and budget friendly for those unable to outsource their security.

On the weekends? I’m a bit of a homebird. I love stomping about the Sussex countryside, landing at old pubs with friends and being in the kitchen (whilst listening to a very embarrassing spotify mix).
